Don't Just Ditch Your Android For An iPhone Just Yet
3 min read
There is no doubt that the new iPhones 6 and 6 Plus are great looking phones with excellent features. Apple has introduced a bigger screen display and tuned up the operating system to enable even more customization for users.
But does that mean as an existing Android user, should you throw it away and buy the iPhone?
If you have a phone with a big enough screen and good cameras, there is no reason you need to go for the iPhone. There is no great merit in buying a more expensive phone only because you like its design or for in built software. It is a different story if you are looking for your first ever smart phone and have the money to be able to afford the iPhone, in which case, you can go for the newly launched ones. But for somebody used to the Android OS, jumping ship can be a hassle. Though phone carriers may assist you to export contacts and other details from the Android to the iOS, you will not be able to carry along the apps you are so much used to with you to the new iPhone.Getting Used To A New System
Then you have the issue of getting used to the new OS. The Apple OS is seen to be quite intuitive for a new user not used to any other OS but as an Android user, you will find it difficult to get used to a new system. This fact about making the OS tough for somebody used to a particular system to easily change to a new one is not something that phone makers have devised by accident but by design. They just do not want their consumers to keep changing and wish to lockthem into using only their system each time the user wishes to buy a new gadget. For instance, the Apple Watch as well as Apple Pay will not work on any Android high end smart phone and similarly, the Gear S watch or Gear VR headset will work only on Samsung phones.More Apps – The Apple Advantage
One of the main reasons some users have been shifting or buying the iPhone is the huge number of apps on the iStore. The best apps are always available on the iPhone and they also arrive there quickly. Google on the other hand has had trouble developing apps as quickly as Apple. It has not also been able to put in place a system of rewarding its developers as well as Apple. The developers for Apple seem to earn much more than the Android app developers. Of late however, the above mentioned advantages are slipping away from Apple. Most of the apps on iOS are now available on the Android phones. With the introduction of the Google Wallet, Google would be able to pay its developers, merchants quickly and better as well. So, Android users, hang on to your Android and don’t desert Google as yet.One Click Root Author
