Huawei P20 and P20 Pro has THREE Rear Cameras
3 min read
So, the world was waiting for Huawei’s most anticipated release this year. But, nobody would expect that they will be making a huge step up this year. So big that it’s enough to shake Samsung, Sony, and Apple and the rest of the smartphone market.
Huawei has been giving us some insights that they will be releasing something great. Just like other companies, we were expecting that they will only launch a few upgraded phones with a few similar features on what’s already available in the market. However, we never thought that Huawei has its own definition of “something great.”
Let’s take a look at P20 and P20 Pro and discover what’s so impressive about this new Android phone.
Hardware Specifications
Both phones will be powered by the Kirin 970. However, the Pro edition will 6GB of RAM, over 4GB in the P20, and a long-lasting 4,000mAh battery for the Pro and 3,400mAh for the P20. It’s obvious that the Pro version is better than P20, but the difference is not that big for argument. You can still get the best experience in both P20s.
The P20 Pro also has improved water and dust resistance compared to the P20.
Hi-Res Selfie
What really caught our attention in these new flagships by Huawei is the cameras. They’ve done it too far that everyone was caught off guard.
First, the front camera is not just a selfie camera. It’s like a rear camera misplaced on front. It has an impressive 24MP lens that will make every selfie queen’s dream come true in achieving high-resolution selfies.
Three Rear Cameras
On the back, the P20 you will notice a familiar dual-lens combination, with a 12MP RGB sensor at f/1.8 and a 20MP monochrome sensor at f/1.6. This is for the P20.
The real magic happens in P20 Pro. It does not satisfy with just two cameras, but it comes with three! The third camera acts as a telephoto lens. Talking about quality, the bottom lens is the 20MP monochrome sensor; the middle lens is the unbelievable 40MP RGB sensor, and the top lens is the telephoto lens that has an 8MP sensor.
Huawei P20 Pro is a real treat for photographers. Huawei set the 40MP RGB camera with the biggest sensor found in a typical smartphone – bigger than the iPhone X and way bigger than the Samsung Galaxy S9.
Superb Autofocus Capabilities
The camera even works awesome in a low-light environment. It even has its own built-in AI that acts as a stabilizer to prevent shaky videos and photos. It’s just so amazing what this phone can do, and it’s not yet done.
The P20 and P20 Pro feature four different systems of autofocus – laser, phase detection, depth, and contrast – combined into a system called 4D Predictive Focus. Users won’t have a problem moving while taking a photo or recording a video because this feature will constantly track the subject and refocuses when needed. It has a 960fps recording capabilities that can bring in super slow motion and take photos in a matter of 0.3 seconds with Huawei’s Ultra Snapshot.
That is a lot to take in! You probably can hardly breathe after knowing all these impressive features brought to us by the Huawei P20 and P20 Pro. This is Huawei pouring all their technological resources into these new flagships and showing the world that they are the best in creating super-powered phones yet.
