Pre-Orders Now Available for Gold-Plated Samsung Galaxy S7 and S7 Edge
2 min read
Samsung has taken a page out of Apple’s book by offering gold versions of its new flagships.
The new gold-plated Samsung Galaxy S7 and S7 Edge models just went up for pre-order online.
As you might expect, the gold-plated models are probably beyond your budget: you’ll be paying $2,000 extra to have your S7 or S7 Edge coated in 24K gold.
That’s not even the most expensive version of the S7 available. There’s also an 18K rose gold plating available and an even more expensive platinum-plated S7.
Here are the approximate prices for the models (prices were originally in GBP and listed through TrulyExquisite.co.uk):
-24K Gold Galaxy S7: $2400 USD
-24K Gold Galaxy S7 Edge: $2500 USD
-Platinum Gold Galaxy S7: $2500 USD
-Platinum Gold Galaxy S7 Edge: $2600 USD
-18K Rose Gold Galaxy S7: $2400 USD
-18K Rose Gold Galaxy S7 Edge: $2600 USD
But let’s be honest: if you have to ask how much the gold-plated new Samsung is, then you’re not the target market anyway. This is a niche product catering to a very exclusive clientele. But hey, if you just hit a big pay day, then don’t let me stop you.
When you order the gold-plated Galaxy S7s at the above prices, they’ll come in a luxury wooden display box along with a Samsung Gear VR and a wireless charging plate.
Note: Samsung has not actually started manufacturing the gold-plated Samsung Galaxy S7 and S7 Edge devices. They’re made by a UK-based retailer. You can view that retailer's selection here.
